responsibilities:
- Be the technical lead for larger and more complex utility industry projects.
- Generating configuration, user interface, and logic files.
- Producing basic control cabinet hardware design.
- Creating test plans from customer-supplied information.
- Commission and troubleshoot products in substations.
- Troubleshooting communications and configuration issues.
- Provide vital communication link between our customer and our division office.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Hardware skills in troubleshooting communication problems.
- 4 years' experience in utility industry and/or SCADA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, team-oriented, results-driven
- Able to share knowledge to other engineers, the sales team and customers
- Programming/scripting with VB6/VBA/SQL/Perl/Python a pluS
- Knowledge of HMI/SCADA Master systems is a plus
- Relay programming basics a plus (SEL, ABB, Basler)
- Minimum one-year experience with project management in automation and controls, demonstrating project management skills in scoping, scheduling, and tracking projects
- Experience with substation RTUs, IO devices/IEDs
- Demonstrated knowledge of MODBUS, DNP, and other industrial protocols
