Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the general ledger is accurate and GAAP compliant and producing accurate and timely financial statements.
- Preparing monthly and annual financial close processes; ensuring accuracy of journal entries, performing account balance reconciliations, identifying and correcting errors and preparing financial statements.
- Providing direction and support to a part time Accounting specialist.
- Leading A/P, A/P and Customer Billing processes
- Coordinate Annual Budget cycle
- Processing bi-weekly payroll
- Reconciling payroll journal entries, budgets and P&L.
- Leading audits
- Working with our R&D tax credit consultants to prepare supporting documentation for R&D tax credit applications.
- Tracking all financial transactions associated with each of our projects, including purchase orders, change orders, invoices, project expenditures, WIP, and more.
- Producing ad-hoc project financial reports
- Support CFO with budgets and forecasts, variance analyses, long-term planning, risk/opportunity assessments, and periodic/ad hoc reporting
- Drive monthly forecasting process - providing management with key analytics and metrics
- Identify areas for revenue opportunities and cost improvement
