responsibilities:
- Define interior payload system requirements and integrate them into the system design.
- Validate and verify systems and components, ensuring they meet requirements and specifications.
- Manage supplier performance, overseeing testing and production activities to optimize design and achieve program goals.
- Develop and enhance design/analysis processes and tools to improve efficiency.
- Explore emerging technologies for future product designs.
- Create, maintain, and modify interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project engineers, production engineering, program/product teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions.
- strong understanding and experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent regulations.
- Knowledge of aerospace interiors, including materials, design criteria, and release processes.
- Experience in program or project management.
- strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
- Effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous personal learning and development.
- Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years' engineering experience, or
- A Master's degree with 3 or more years' engineering experience, or
- A PhD degree with engineering experience.
- Degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including design, integration, certification, or equivalent.
- Experience in leadership roles and leading cross-functional teams.
