Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Reviews customers specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions
- Design of tooling using SolidWorks based on company standards
- Generate manufacturing and assembly drawings and bill of materials in accordance with company standards
- Facilitate design reviews with shop personal and customers
- Analyze issues related to production and quality, make and document process improvements based on feasibility, cost-efficiency, and quality
- Assist sells department
- Report to Head Designer
- Work overtime, when required, as requested by supervisor
- Associates degree in Engineering, Machine Tool, or related discipline
- Ability to multitask and work within deadlines
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Familiarity and skill with interpreting drawings
- Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerances
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
- Should have a positive and professional attitude
