responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Supervising and Training: Assisting in supervising a team of die makers, toolmakers, or machinists, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure their skill development and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Production Planning: Assisting in planning and scheduling die manufacturing activities based on production requirements, ensuring timely delivery of dies and tooling to meet production demands.
- Die Maintenance: Assisting in coordinating die maintenance and repair activities, working closely with maintenance technicians and die makers to ensure proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of dies to minimize downtime.
- Quality Assurance: Assisting in implementing quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality dies and tooling. This includes inspecting finished dies, monitoring quality metrics, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Process Improvement: Collaborating with the Die Shop Supervisor and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost reduction initiatives within the die shop.
- Equipment and Tooling Management: Assisting in managing the inventory of tools, equipment, and materials required for die manufacturing, ensuring availability and proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment within the die shop. Assisting in conducting safety inspections, implementing safety protocols, and addressing any safety concerns.
- Documentation and Reporting: Assisting in maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation related to die manufacturing, maintenance activities, and production metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
