This position is assigned to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida.
This position is not eligible for telecommuting.
Essential Functions
- Perform technical duties in operating, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, calibrating, installing and inspecting Timing, communication and test equipment
- Test and evaluate installations and repairs to ensure accuracy, compatibility and ensure all order/service requirements are fulfilled
- Perform corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, operations, alignment and installation of (data, voice, video, and network) distribution systems and the associated end instruments
- Responsible for Property Inventory, Control of Supply Parts and Tools, and Quality Assurance
- Maintain Station and Operation Logs, documentation, and records
- Work with Electrostatic Sensitive (ESD) devices and confirm to ESD safety practices
- Provide accurate REMEDY and IMDS (Trouble Ticket tracking databases) preventative and corrective action reports
- Complete required training
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience
- AS Degree in Electronic Technology, or two year technical school, equivalent military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0 – 2 years of experience in electronic technology
- Basic understanding of test, diagnostic, and measurement equipment to include: RF test equipment, Fireberds, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, RF Power Meters, and Network Analyzers
- Basic understanding of data transport systems/network (2.4 kbps – DS-3 broadband multiplexers) including ATM and IP network architecture
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with troubleshooting of electronic equipment/systems, preferred
- Experience on one or more of the following systems: Timing FDME count distribution equipment, TWSTT, IRIG distribution and GPS receivers, TMS-3000, FCC-100s, Orion DRCS, IDNX, Timeplex, Alcatel Microwave and various KG devices and COMSEC procedures, preferred
- Experience preferred with various long-haul circuit technologies to include T-1, DS-3, OC-12, and OC-48, preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Periodically move, transport, install and position equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
- Periodically ascend/descend, and traverse work areas at heights of approximately 20 feet or more
- Ability to travel locally or outside the continental U.S. on occasion
- Security CE certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification within six months of start date
- The flexibility to work frequent non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Must be fully vaccinated from the COVID-19 virus, which means two weeks have passed since a single-shot vaccine or the second dose of a two-shot vaccine. Requests for medical or religious accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
