Inventory Coordinator

Purpose This role is responsible for tracking and monitoring inventory. The incumbent works closely with Product Coordinators and Business Managers to maintain a clean and accurate inventory.   Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.                     Essential Functions Pro-actively track and manage inbound shipments and bulk railcars Enter purchase orders as required to support and cover the appropriate product coordinator Update purchase information (dates, weights, railcar information) Ensure railcar details exist in the system and provide any missing information. Prepare and send inbound notifications to warehouses Prepare and send packaging instructions Track and monitor open and completed packaging requests Monitor detention/demurrage and track storage Receive purchase orders into inventory upon placement at warehouse Update batch status upon arrival at warehouse. Track on hand inventory and monitor aged inventory Check for heels and maximum utilization of storage cars Provide COO’s as necessary Process reclassifications of inventory for blending, packaging, corrections, etc. Process warehouse and intercompany transactions including triggering to transportation for shipment   Backup Responsibilities Provide back- up coverage to Product Coordinator Assist with inventory reconciliation Assist with research and resolution of supplier invoice discrepancies   All other duties as assigned   Supervisory Responsibilities Not Applicable   Competencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA) To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. Detail oriented and ability to prioritize Strong Microsoft Excel Experience   Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications Education: A four-year college degree with similar experience preferred. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree Experience: Experience with inventory and warehousing preferred Licenses / Certifications: Valid driver’s license – required Language: Proficiency in English required Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
