Title: Database Developer (SQL/Oracle/Sybase)

Location: Jersey City, NJ (HYBIRD)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

• Must have: Oracle PLSQL experience with minimum Oracle DBA knowledge.
• At least 3 – 5 years of experience for Intermediate Level.
• At least 5 years of experience for Advance Level.
• DB2,Oracle,Dbtools, Stored Procedures migration/conversion.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• Experience with DB migration activities, sound knowledge of migration tools
• Experience with QREP/Oracle Goldent Gate Replication methodologies and monitoring
• Experience in writing Complex Stored Procedures and implementing complex business logic in Oracle and DB2.
• Responsible for the design, creation and maintenance of all DB2 Objects and database support for the ONGARD Oil GAS Service Center.
• Recovery plan and HADR design, implementation, procedures, knowledge transfers and multiple internal projects.
• Monitoring and conducting performance tuning in large DB2 Database and refactoring project/production systems
• Worked with developers on the database design/architecture and schema optimization and other DB2 aspects.
• Experience in performance tuning of struggling application systems.
• Maintaining data Loading, Unloading, reorganizing data, Run stats in z/OS environment.
• Performance Monitoring and Tuning SQL monitoring and tuning by rewriting SQL and using Snapshot, Table Function, Event Monitor and OS commands topas, vmstat and iostat , in addition to using EXPLAIN and running the reorganize, reorg, run stats and db2rbind commands.
• Reshaping the physical data model to ensure optimal DB2 performance through clustering and proper data types.
• Monitoring and tuning Applications, SQL statements and databases by using snapshot monitoring, Event monitoring and other monitoring utilities.
• Help developers to formulate the queries and application development team to design new and re-engineer.
