Job Summary
This position is responsible for the safety and productivity of all production employees, as well as plant security. Additionally, the Team Leader position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters and for participation in both the hiring and performance management processes. This is a hands-on role.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees
- Set the daily production schedule
- Review and adjust the schedule where needed
- Participate whenever necessary to ensure assembly lines run uninterrupted
- Determine the human resources and hours required to meet schedules
- Document standard operating procedures for production operations
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol
- Enable effective communications between management and assemblers
- Prepare and maintain production reports
- Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management
- Ensure security of facilities during designated shift hours
- Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge and experience in assembly processes and techniques
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques
- Solid computer skills

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a Production leadership position
- Strong mechanical aptitude

Preferred Technical Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge of Hydraulics, particularly related to centrifugal pumps

Computer Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Experience with other quality software applications beneficial. (e.g. statistical analysis)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
