Vertex Professional Services (VPS) is seeking a highly-motivated Project Manager to work alongside the program management team. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage and lead all aspects of employee learning and development projects including: initial scope, design, development, implementation, budget and schedule establishment and adherence, profit and loss management, customer relationships and customer growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will assess project status and issues; develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfaction goals and objectives; and develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to work proactively, efficiently, and effectively within budget, teaming with co-workers, internal departments, and the end customer.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Work alongside client partners to identify and gain consensus on requirements, clearly defined scope and deliverables
Intake new work and lead development of scope, schedule, and cost estimates
Develop, present and execute Statements of Work (SOW), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other account growth documents
Identify necessary resources and detail key program objectives and milestones to support scoped projects
Prepare/Update various business documents for review and approval by the leadership team (including SOWs, budgets and project plans for scoped projects)
Develop multi-year strategic roadmap for all assigned projects
Monitor the development, implementation and deployment of new or recurring projects to ensure compliance with agreed upon terms
Oversee vendor quality and the overall supply chain processes (creation of Purchase Requests, manage Purchase Orders, ensure invoices are accurate and processed on time etc.)
Assign work and monitor deliverables of team members in areas that include schedule, budget, and quality of service, while ensuring adherence to common processes and best practices
Identify and support implementation of process improvements
Ensure budgets are adhered to and potential cost variances are contained
Responsible for overall program execution resulting in achievement of planned retention/expansion of assigned programs as well as new growth within assigned areas
Lead continuous improvement/change efforts
Required:
Minimum six years’ business project management experience in a customer-facing environment
Demonstrated capability to lead a team to achieve positive results and meet project milestones
Experience analyzing and/or preparing reports utilizing financial statements such as budget detail, cost actuals, and P&L and earned value management
Proven ability to build relationships at multiple levels of a client organization
Ability to develop cost estimates based on requirements and monitor performance against an established budget
Experience creating and analyzing data to generate reports, summarize results, identify problems, and suggest solutions
Experience in the learning/talent development industry
Proficient level skill with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio)
Understanding of Scope of Work (SOW), Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Logistics Program Details (LPD) documents
Knowledge of learning industry, training administration, and classroom or event logistics
The ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Travel up to 20% to support events at other facilities, primarily in the continental US
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Eight years professional experience with a high school diploma may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree

After hours, weekend and/or overtime work may be required
