Job Summary:
We are currently hiring an Engineering Fellow to join the System Concept & Design Technologies Department of the System Design & Architecture (SDA) organization located in Tucson, AZ.
The Engineering Fellow will have deep technical domain knowledge within Systems Engineering with a focus on Guidance Navigation & Control and will participate as an integrated team member across a broad spectrum of Effector programs within RMD, providing guidance on architecture decisions, delving into development and integration challenges, and ensuring system performance requirements are met in design, simulation, and test.
The Engineering Fellow will represent Systems Design & Architecture within Technology communities and will provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to others during system development. The Engineering Fellow develops networks within the Engineering organization to foster collaborative partnerships with people and program leadership that enable teams to meet business commitments.
The Engineering Fellow within the GNC-focused role will have deep aerospace system knowledge and is engaged within industry to understand application of this knowledge within the evolving demands on Effector system development. The Engineering Fellow can communicate across disciplines and organizations and to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- You will utilize your strong base in GNC to influence Systems Design & Architecture technology across RMD programs
- You will evaluate and guide key design and integration decisions on critical RMD programs
- You will have regular communication to include industry partners, RMD and RTX level leadership, and customers to convey strategy, provide status, share accomplishments, and influence the development of capability within the system engineering competency.
- You will mentor and guide team members within Systems Design and Architecture and within the GNC technical domain.
- You will apply extensive technical domain expertise to design solutions, engage others, and connect resources to programs requiring such experience.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM
- With a bachelor’s degree listed above, you must have twelve (12) years or more of documented work experience with a focus on Guidance Navigation & Control (A Master’s Degree will satisfy 2 years of work experience and a PhD will satisfy 3 years of work experience)
- Experience managing and/or leading cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity
- Prior experience working on aerospace systems across the full development lifecycle
- Experience with direct customer interaction and communication
- Experience leading development across multiple programs or company sites
- Must be the author of intellectual property (patent disclosures) or conference/journal publications
- An active and in-scope DoD Secret clearance

- Experience with Digital Engineering including Model Based Engineering development
- Excellent presentation and proposal skills
