Pratt & Whitney is looking to add a Strategy Manager to our Group Strategy and Development (GSD) organization. GSD is responsible for business-level strategic initiatives at Pratt & Whitney and is comprised of two teams: Strategy and Transactions.
The Strategy Manager will work as part of the Strategy team and will be involved in senior-level activities to develop Pratt & Whitney’s strategy. The successful candidate will lead teams within a matrix environment and work collaboratively to deliver strategic recommendations to senior leadership. The Strategy Manager will typically lead multiple projects simultaneously. Example projects include competitor assessments, M&A screening, new market entry evaluation, business case development and scenario analysis.
The Strategy Manager role provides the opportunity to influence some of Pratt & Whitney’s most critical business decisions. Accordingly, the position will have significant executive-level exposure. The role also provides ample opportunity for learning and development through both formal and informal training. Lastly, the variety of project work will typically lead to a diverse array of potential exit opportunities throughout the Pratt & Whitney business or the broader Raytheon Technologies Corporation.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years' of experience or 5 years' of experience with a Master's Degree or MBA OR 2 years' of experience with a Management/Strategy Consulting firm, Investment Banking or Corporate Strategy experience with a Fortune 500
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
Management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development and/or investment banking experience
Candidates must take initiative and be strong strategic thinkers with exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Must be effective in driving results with indirect reporting relationships, working both independently and as the lead on cross-functional teams. Must be able to establish credibility and respect with people at all levels of Pratt & Whitney. Needs to be solutions-oriented, with an ability to identify and understand organizational impacts of business strategy.
