Primary Duty/Job Statement
The Communications and Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting with the development and dissemination of internal and external content promoting the organization’s mission, activities, events, and social media presence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning, creating, and executing marketing campaigns to expand our company's reach and potential pipeline, coordinating media/social media outreach, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Fundamental Duties
- Will oversee creating and administering content on all social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to build an audience and ensure customer engagement.
- Monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and implement creative design
- Plan weekly, monthly, and quarterly content calendar for social media posts.
- Develops and maintains promotional and/or recruitment materials for R. B. Stewart that conform to the identity standards established by the organization.
- Maintains and grows the organizations online presence through use of new web techniques and websites, social media, and other networking platforms.
- Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and social media best practices to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns.
- Assist in creating visual and written content promoting the activities, events, available positions, and mission of the organization, collaborating with various RBS departments.
- Develops and maintains promotional and/or recruitment materials for the various markets.
- Develop meaningful partnerships with local vendors in order to publicize business needs.
- Create employment advertising that will attract strong pool of candidates that is distinctive for market and chosen media.
- Utilize and be knowledgeable of all business and social media sites for employment advertising.
- Collaborates with other content developers and graphic designers on the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of branding strategies.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, climb, reach and manipulate objects, office equipment and electronic devices. Minimum physical exertion. Duties involving moving materials up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 20 pounds on occasion. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as a computer keyboard, mouse, phone and/or similar machines.
Attendance/Schedule:
- Onsite Monday – Friday, with occasional extended hours
- May require travel up to 25%, to include overnight and out of state travel.
Preferred Minimum Experience/Education
- Associate degree in Communications, Journalism, Publications, Digital Media, Marketing or related field required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years in experience in Social Media publications
- Minimum of 1 year experience organizational branding and marketing
- Experience with desktop publishing and graphics design software such as InDesign preferred.
- Proactive, highly organized, and ability to shift priorities, multi-task, and handle multiple projects
- Photography and/or videography experience a plus
- Ability to comprehend our complex business to develop effective communication strategies
- Ability to build strong internal and external business partnerships
- Team player with a high sense of urgency; able to interact across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent writing, grammar, editing, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent judgment and able to maintain confidentiality
- Travel up to 25%

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,500.00 - $3,122.31 per month
