What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Assistant position at RBA Builders Inc?
The RBA EHS Assistant and or Safety Engineer 1 is an entry level position designed to assist in the maintenance and delivery of the RBA construction safety program throughout Southern California.
The SE1 position is responsible for the support and/or lead of various safety tasks including but not limited to creating and updating policies; new hire safety orientation, tailgate safety training, quarterly safety training, and stand down meetings; PPE selection, purchasing, inventory, and issuance; site inspections, violation corrections, and documentation; incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, and report writing.
The SE1 position works closely with all project teams as well as subcontractors on site and must stay abreast of new laws and regulations regarding health and safety to help ensure the safety program remains in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Previous construction or safety experience and training are a plus but not required.
The SE1 position reports directly to the Safety Engineer 3 (SE3) and/or Safety Manager.
The SE1 position does not require an engineering background.
