JOB TITLE/LOCATION:
Customer Service Representative - Oxford, CT
DESCRIPTION:
We are currently looking for a Customer Service Representative within our Aerospace Division. The CSR will provide positive service, while responding to quote requests and other proposals with customers in a timely accurate manner to optimize new orders. This position will work closely with the Engineering and Sales teams to obtain cost estimates for new products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Provides positive service to the customer.
- Respond to quote requests and other proposals with customers in a timely accurate manner to optimize new orders.
- Work closely with the Engineering and Sales departments to obtain cost estimates for new products.
- Maintain and update the Price Book & customer scorecards.
- Enter and track customer orders. Orders to be reviewed for accuracy via our contract review process. Keep abreast of past due orders and advise customers of the situation.
- Coordinate regularly with field sales to gain opportunities and resolve problems.
- Work with customer websites to review order scheduling changes and access specifications (as necessary).
- Follow assigned accounts closely to assure that on-time delivery is maintained or that the customer is informed promptly of any changes.
- Assist Product Managers with LTA's and large proposals.
- Develop Contract Review files. Prepare customer contract reviews and filing of customer orders.
- Coordinate customer returns in support of Quality Control.
- Must be aware of our Quality Objectives and Policies.
- Must have, or learn, a certain level of product knowledge to help support customers.
- Must be able to access and manage customer web sites.
- Responsible to understand the company gross margin policies and maximize them.
- Attendance at work is an essential function of the job
EDUCATION:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years of Customer Service experience preferably in manufacturing
SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
- Ability to speak effectively in person and on the phone.
- Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply basic concepts of math. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft® Access, Excel, and Word programs.
