What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at RCS Corporation?
RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Payroll Specialist in Iselin, NJ. This is a full-time, contract to perm (potential), office-based assignment with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as a Payroll Specialist:
- Audit timesheet data weekly to determine compliance with Federal, State laws and company policy.
- Independently perform all necessary activities to complete the bi-weekly payroll for 1900 employees in over 40 states in the USA, including new hires, terminations, transfers, and all employee changes.
- Process adjustment payments, Ex. Retro pay and bonuses.
- Review all benefit changes and set up all wage garnishments.
- Prepare management reports and audits.
- Run and create custom reports using ADP Reporting.
- Contact ADP to resolve any payroll issues.
- Promptly resolve and respond to employee payroll concerns.
- Transmit benefits after payroll to our providers.
- Handle any special projects as needed.
YOU are the ideal Payroll Specialist candidate if you have:
- 5 years of experience with ADP systems required.
- Proficient knowledge of payroll tax and labor laws, garnishment requirements, payroll recordkeeping, and reporting regulations.
- Understanding of HIPAA and FLSA regulations.
- Understanding of Payroll and reporting systems.
- Accustomed to working in a paperless environment.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Good listening and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and within a team with minimal to no supervision.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
