What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Advocate position at RE Inc?
Summary of Position:
Family Advocate provides support for individuals and their families to help them thrive in their everyday lives. The family advocate will assist in assessing the family’s needs and help them obtain social and community resources and benefits. The Family Advocate will assist DPHHS-CFSD in developing, organizing, and conducting programs to prevent and resolve matters relevant to substance abuse, mental health, relationships, rehabilitation, and dependent care. Programs including, but not limited to, Visitation Coaching, Family Based Services, and Transportation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional client services. This includes client needs, assessments, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer services.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in budgeting, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, coordination of staff and resources.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing family services. This includes family needs for treatment plans, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of family outcomes.
Knowledge of accelerated computer skills focused on the G Suite platform.
Actively looking for ways to help staff and/or clients access resources formal and informal.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate and receive information and ideas both written and verbal.
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work duties.
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Any other responsibilities deemed essential by the Team Manager or other members of Management.
