System I/RPG Programmer

IBM Series (formerly AS400)programmer

Successful candidate will develop and maintain in-house RPG applications. Maintaining and upgrading purchased packages as needed is necessary. Developing and maintaing interfaces between in-house and purchased applications along with providing additional support will be required.

Basic Skills:

Experience with IBM I Series and experience utilizing RPG/LE/Free-format, RPGCLE Programing, iSeries/SQL including embedded SQL in RPGLE programs. (Minimum of 5 years helpful .)

Advanced knowledge of SQL

OCL36, RPG36, RPT 36, CL, CLP, RPG, RPGLE and RPG Free Form to support legacy system on a Power 8 System.

Exceptional attention to detail and sense of urgency.

Additional desirable skills:

Experience with payroll and accounting application development and support.

Database administration and optimization

Experience with IBM i Series operating system administration and system back ups.

Knowledge in programming and working with APIs

Candidate will be able to work alone, under general supervision or as part of a team to perform the duties that facilitate our business requirements. Must be able to multi-task working across various departments including sales, manufacturing, accounting and clerical. Schedule may include periods of high stress and candidate must be able to handle responsibilities with little supervision. Employee must be able to make sound business decisions and possess the ability to handle moderate to heavy workload.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
