Ready Seafood Company is a rapidly growing wholesale lobster business located up and down the coast of Maine with headquarters based in Saco, ME. As the largest lobster processing facility in the State, we have quickly become a leading seafood exporter, shipping millions of pounds of live lobster, lobster meat, and frozen lobster tails to nearly every corner of the world. This role is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting key metrics of the business. This role will primarily support the operations team at the company’s Saco processing facility but also contribute to the company’s broader finance function. The successful candidate must be able to interpret data, understand and communicate connections, and drive improvements. The ability to think in terms of cost accounting and reporting are essential. Candidates must consider themselves super-users in Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems is a benefit.
This position reports to the Director of Finance while working closely with SVP of Operations.

Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate pricing models for new and existing SKUs in processing plant
- Assist in reporting of operational metrics and KPIs on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis
- Trend labor, yields, raw and finished selling prices
- Analyze plant operating costs on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Partner with business leaders on annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecast processes
- Maintain accurate and organized databases of operational and financial metrics
- Reconcile piecework reporting weekly for our payroll
- Perform other ad-hoc projects for operations and finance teams as needed
Qualifications
- BBA, BS or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
- Excel super user
- Familiarity with ERP/Database systems
- Basic understanding of financial statements
- Excellent accuracy of data compilation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or processing environment strongly preferred
Other:
This job operates primarily in an office setting based at the company’s headquarters in Saco, ME though will require occasional visits to production environments that may be cold and/or wet. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This will involve prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
