What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Intern position at Real-Time Innovations?
As an intern in the IT team you will be paired with a mentor and learn how to manage tasks in a fast-paced support environment, driving issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, efficient task execution, and effective communication. We want to provide you the full experience of working at RTI!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through IT ServiceDesk ticketing system
- Review and diagnose issues; take corrective action which may include coordinating with appropriate peer teams and escalating where necessary
- Provide support of Linux, Windows, and MacOS laptops and accessories
- Manages tasks in a fast-paced support environment, driving issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, efficient task execution, and effective communication.
- Provide support and maintain audio/video/VoiP equipment in conference rooms and meeting areas onsite.
- Engage with vendors for support and/or license management activities.Maintain hardware and software asset inventory and organization for end user devices, IT supplies, cabling, server rooms.
- Participate in user/equipment moves, repair/maintenance/support of IT hardware/software and applications
Who are we looking for?
- Student focusing on IT Systems Administration or equivalent focus
- Experience with Windows, MacOS, Linux operating systems
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication, customer service and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work closely with end users
- Strong sense of urgency, ability to complete duties quickly and efficiently
- Good documentation skills
- Customer first oriented approach to service
