Job Description SUMMARY

Computes, classifies, records, and verifies data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Accounts Payable - matching purchase orders and receiving documentation to invoices, coding to general ledger accounts, inputting data, generating checks, vendor account maintenance and reconciliation.

Accounts Receivable - billing, issuing credit memos, cash application, customer account maintenance and reconciliation.

Customer Service - Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders and addresses customer complaints.

Purchasing - issue purchase orders as authorized, verify vendor confirmation of P.O., verify receipt of Certificates of Analysis when appropriate, record receipt of product in system, review open purchase orders.

Bill of Materials (production data entry) - updates and prepares spreadsheets necessary to compile production data information and inputs into accounting bill of material system, inventory yield adjustments.

Receptionist - Answers phones and routes calls to requested destinations, greet visitors at office entrance and directs them to proper personnel, distributes incoming mail, puts postage and sends out outgoing mail.

Data Entry, Typing, Sorting and Filing - other clerical duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Depends on job task, but at minimum need a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present infonnation in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • City of Industry, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • QuickBooks: 1 year (Preferred)
