WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Billing Ops Specialist will be responsible for acting as a “behind the scenes” resource to the larger billing team. This role is integral to ensuring that all the necessary tasks leading up to generating a prebill are completed timely and accurately. Communication with and management of utility providers is a large part of this role. Ensuring accurate information is documented on the bills being uploaded into the Nexus billing engine is key to this role as well.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily bill imports for billing team.
- Monthly Smartsheet creation and maintenance.
- General support to the billing team.
- Working with utility providers to ensure accurate bill information is obtained.
- Daily e-mailed bill pulling and uploading into the billing engine.
- Monthly manual rent roll processing.
- Property provider and parser mapping and bill set up.
- Manage expected bill updates and exceptions.
- Compile monthly electricity usage reports.
- PDF creation for providers and Urjanet.
- Manual pulling of utility bills sent via e-mail to upload into billing engine.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem- solving skill; problem resolution in a proactive, timely manner
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- A degree and/or at least 2 years of experience with numbers
- Ability to write scripts to import bills.
- Ability to self-motivate and maintain a positive attitude.
- Some knowledge of utility billing is helpful.
- Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and manner.
- Knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per hour
