WHAT YOU’LL DO

You are a seasoned Technical Product Manager with a passion for enabling business decisions driven by Analytics including reporting and calculated insights.  You’ve got an eye and the skills to design reports readily consumed by a wide range of users.  You are looking to play a pivotal role in evolving the underlying data infrastructure and models for user experiences that reach beyond reporting.

 

With at least five years of Product Management experience under your belt, you have a proven track record not only working as a key contributor with agile software development teams, but also connecting client and market needs to high value user experiences.  You have honed your presentation & communication skills, and are looking for your next opportunity at an innovative, high growth SaaS company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, architect, and drive/capture requirements for new and innovative data and analytics solutions
    • Understand the problem and business drivers for a project
    • Elicit requirements from Product Management leadership
    • Understand other products in the marketplace, understanding strengths and weaknesses
    • Define and document requirements (business, user, functional, non functional) with prioritization of all requirements
    • Create the following to support development activities as necessary: page designs/mock up’s, data mapping and data modeling
  • Build and maintain the Analytics Product Roadmap
  • Establish a deep understanding of the analysis subject matter and business intelligence needs of client and internal stakeholders
  • Assess competitor technologies to determine value and strategic differences
  • Help identify Analytics product distinct competencies and value
  • Keep current on big data and data visualization technology trends to inform the evolution of the Analytics technology stack
  • Contribute to data governance and quality best practices, including design reviews, unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration and deployment
  • Establish measurements for understanding adoption of the products
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, quality and accountability with G5’s Data Engineering agile software development team
  • Collaborate in technical brainstorming sessions with Data Engineering during development to help ensure product business objectives are met

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 5 years experience as a Technical Product Manager or Agile Engineering team member
  • BS in technology related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience in data management, data governance and utilization of business intelligence applications such as Tableau, Birst, PowerBI, or Domo (with Looker experience a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of current SaaS system architectures and technology stacks, combined with working knowledge of digital marketing performance metrics
  • Proven ability translating quantitative and qualitative data into insights and strategy to drive product development roadmaps
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Basic query experience in SQL databases such as BigQuery
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data lake architecture
  • Understanding of ETL and data processing for reporting applications
  • Pragmatic Marketing Certifications a plus
