We are seeking a data-oriented, curious search marketer to join our in-house paid search team. The SEM Marketing Manager, reporting into the Sr. Manager, SEM, will play an essential role in building and driving search channel improvements for Realtor.com’s ambitious growth plans. You will draw on your skills as a search marketer, performance optimizer, and channel leader to align paid search performance with business objectives. This is a high-visibility position with scope for creativity and self-development. The role requires a highly analytical mindset as well as a curiosity to seek out new possibilities. You should be attracted to the analytical and technical side of marketing as well as to the creative and experimental side, consistently using one to inform the other. You will develop a detailed understanding of digital marketing (SEM in particular) and understand the long-term financial impact of customer behavior trends. Responsibilities: Under the direction of business and SEM leadership, help develop business strategy and implement tactical channel plans for Realtor’s emerging lines of businesses. This includes informing and iterating with product and business teams to extract maximum value from the SEM program. Work collaboratively with other marketing channels to ensure clean and holistic understanding of marketing performance, build user stories and performance reporting. Represent and evangelize the channel within digital marketing, business partner teams, and emerging business leadership. Partner with analytics to identify performance trends and develop insights to help influence decisions for paid media strategy. Other responsibilities include: ·       Translate campaign objectives into paid search programs including defining and building target audiences ·       Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals to adapt strategy & go-to-market execution ·       Develop media plans, audience journeys, and briefing documents to inform agencies and internal stakeholders ·       Analyze KPIs and optimize and improve performance to achieve demand generation goals ·       Document insights to improve lead conversion, investment mix and program ROAS and ROI ·       Guide, advise and develop direct reports into new leaders, maximizing throughput and potential ·       Work with Data Science on test and measurement plan, including continuous multivariate testing Qualifications: ·       4 years of hands-on experience managing paid search in-house or at an agency using refined techniques to optimize the channel ·       Demonstrable problem solving and analysis skills, experience solving problems independently, applying solutions creatively ·       Experience using and optimizing paid search campaigns using online advertising solutions such as Google Adwords, SA360, Marin, Kenshoo, and/or Adobe Marketing Cloud. ·       Familiarity and or experience with SQL and working with large data sets preferred ·       Experience with project management tools like Atlassian, Zendesk, Asana, Trello, and/or Github highly desired ·       Experience with productivity suites like Microsoft Office or Google for Work is required ·       Experience with web analytics software such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is required ·       Deep familiarity with all digital marketing metrics including CPA, CPC, CPM and ROAS ·       Strong Excel skills with experience building complex spreadsheets, including pivot tables, multi-function formulas and elaborate graphs. ·       Superb written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills with folks at all levels. ·       Ability to work effectively with a broad spectrum of both internal team members and external vendors/partners ·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
