Proposal Manager/Proposal Writer

We are seeking a Proposal Manager/Proposal Writer for our Commercial Management group to be responsible for managing workflow for evaluating, generating, reviewing, and reporting on new business proposals.  In this role, you will work with Customers, Scientific Project Leaders, Business Development, Project Management and Finance to ensure that proposals are generated on time, meet customer expectations tasks, and accurately represent the scope, schedule, and cost structure determined by the Recipharm team.   

The Proposal Manager/Proposal Writer will also assist in the administrative aspects required for the management of various types of contracts, CRM system information, and other client generated data. Recipharm’s information systems and practices will be used to ensure that customer and proposal data is accounted for and reported correctly.  

In this position, your key responsibilities will be as follows:

• Interprets and analyzes appropriate data to write and/or review proposals that support client projects; leveraging standard cost tables, customer data, and commercial team input to deliver a proposal that meets customer requirements.
• Works collaboratively to ensure the proposal and related documents align to operational strategy and budget; ensures the proposal response meets client's request and follows up with contributors and subject matter experts as needed.
• Works effectively with senior leadership, contributing experience, context, and customer expectation to strategic proposal discussions
• Provides quality control and feedback on proposal process to continuously improve the flow of customer data, proposal information, and proposal turn around time.
• Assists and manage library of competitive intelligence, proposal history, cost standards, and other pertinent information.
• Mentor other personnel and groups on the information required to successfully manage proposals.
• Author and review of proposals within Recipharm’s applicable structure.
• Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Proposal Workflow at Recipharm’s RTP site.
• Managerial responsibility of the Proposal Writer(s) if the team grows to require additional proposal writers.   

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant field
• 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical industry environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills and problem-solving ability, with ability to interact and build relationships with individuals at all levels
• Adept at translating technical and scientific information into client-friendly proposals

• Critical and strategic thinking skills, to apply client information to actionable proposals
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and presentation skills.
• Efficient use of CRM software (Zoho preferred, but not required)
• Experience with project management software (Workfront preferred, but not required)
• Advanced skills including cross references, pivot tables, and advanced formulas using MS Word and MS Excel.
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Excellent project management skills and financial acumen as related to business and operational strategy
• Knowledge of and willingness to learn Recipharm’s product offering across sites and business units. 

Additional Qualifications:

• Pharmaceutical CMO/CDMO experience with Customer interaction
• Experience building reports and dashboards for both customer, project, and portfolio level information
