Microbiology Lab Analyst posting is for day shift, the hours will consist of 8 hour shifts, Mon-Fri, with regularly scheduled weekend coverage once a month. This position resides in the Microbiological Product Testing Lab, performing analytical testing using various established methodologies to support finished product, base powder, and raw material testing. Analyst coordinates testing of materials, processes testing data, and delivers results to the organization in a timely manner in order to meet release and production schedules. Communication to their lab group and the wider organization is vital to ensure business needs are met. Additionally, the analyst performs routine lab equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, etc. as needed.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- Laboratory workspace skills and management
- Applicant should have experience with aseptic technique, general microbiology including cultural methods and automated testing instrumentation.
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- 1x per month weekend coverage, as required by production schedule
- Good documentation practices, data comprehension, and problem solving
- Strong computer skills (GLIMS, Optiva, SAP, MS Office, Excel, or equivalents)
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
