What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift position at Reco NC?
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager by ensuring the facility meets all safety requirements. The Maintenance Engineer will also provide support to maintenance technicians and infrastructure projects.
- Prioritizes facility safety
- Actively supports and enforces the plant standards, coaches’ less experienced technicians and maintains a safe, hazard free workplace
- Evaluates equipment problems, recommends solutions, implements appropriate actions, and documents issues / resolution information
- Coordinates with Facilities Manager for installation of equipment
- Troubleshoots equipment and process issues to identify root cause, recommends improvements and supports implementation of root cause elimination
- Communicates with vendors for facility needs
- Flexible schedule to support the facility during emergency downtime
- Maintains the integrity and dependability of all support systems including the following: automated forming and assembly equipment, robotic work cells, wire coating coding and cutting equipment, waste water management system and building maintenance.
- Supports plant sustainability and lean initiatives.
- International travel for training and job shadowing
SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree required or 15 maintenance experience
- Aptitude with computer systems especially email, database entry, and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Problem solving ability and critical thinking skills required. Must also be detail oriented.
- Troubleshooting experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and control systems
- Experience with industrial robots preferred
- PLC & HMI Software development skills preferred
- Ability to train others on sophisticated automated equipment
- Basic understanding of NEC
- Experience with LOTO procedures
- Arc Flash Safety PPE Requirements
