Open Hole Wireline Operator / Supervisor

Responsibilities:

RECON is looking for an Alvarado Texas based Open Hole Field Supervisor and/or Operator who is ready and capable of joining our team and hopping in the driver’s seat and/or Logger’s chair today. But the truth is we want more than that. We want someone who has some computer aptitude, drive to grow and willingness to be trained to move into the role of Field Supervisor. We want to ensure that you will be successful and with that we will need a commitment from you to want to learn and we will commit to you that we will train you in best practices to be stellar at the job.

Needs right away:

· Live within or are willing to self relocate to within 60 mins of Alvarado Texas

· Rig in and out tool strings (Ability and Willingness to lift heavy sh!t)

- Operate the winch and winch control panel

• Operate the winchman Laptop and software.

- Able to rebuild cablehead and rope socket under direction of a senior operator

· Ability to Drive Wireline Unit To and From Location (Yes that means a CDL) is an added plus and will move you to the top of the list and the payscale

-With a verbal commitment RECON is willing to train and licence CDL drivers. Show us your the right person and we will make that commitment in you

What you need for the next step:

· Good with computers

- No we don’t mean you are killer on candy crush and can text at 60 words per minute

- Must have basic to intermediate skill with Excel, Word and Outlook at the least

· Willingness to learn

· Cool under pressure and the ability to make decisions (no calling for help at 3 AM all the time)

· Obviously, a sense of humor. This is the oilfield, guys/gals will be ribbing each other all the time

Everyday Expectations:

· Maintain and adhere to RECON’s safety practices, State and Federal regulations and required safety training and Certifications

· Order necessary parts or repairs on the road or at a job site

· Ensure tools are serviced and truck is ready to handle the next assignment with no delay and no lost time

· Ensure pre and post trip inspections of the truck

· Ensure truck logs and inventory are current and accurate.

• Familiarity with ELD device a plus

· Participate in all projects assigned to Logging unit, including master calibrations

· Report technical or equipment problems to the Senior Field Engineer / Operations Manager

Job Type: Full-time

License/Certification (Required):

· Hazmat Endorsement (Preferred)

· H2S and First Aid not required to start but will be taken immediately if needed

License/Certification (Dream Employee):

· Previous Open Hole Logging Experience – Operator or Supervisor

· CDL Licence

· Engineering or Geology Background

Pay:

· $50K - $70K per year (dependent on experience and position)

· Field Bonus upon completion of probationary period

Schedule:

· 15 and 6 Rotation

Required travel:

· 50% (Required)

· You must live within 60min of Alvarado Texas
