GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Billing Analyst has multi-functional responsibilities including a wide range of accounting and administrative duties to support the accounting department.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review billing data prior to invoicing.
- Runs various batch process reports and logs errors.
- The ability to problem solve is essential.
- Research items not pricing. Ability to understand and work with complex pricing structures.
- Post invoices and save files for emailing. Work involves using shared files and maintenance of records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyze customer account activity, must quickly understand and utilize billing system tools and processes. Advanced Excel skills will be critical.
- Assist with customer inquiries; corresponds with customers through verbal and written communication.
- Interact with customers and department managers when processing a resolution of account discrepancies.
- Maintain accounting department files, records.
- Post customer deposits to accounts receivable subledger, bank and general ledger with accuracy.
- Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, typing, and mailing.
- Assist with special accounting projects as needed.
- Monthly and seasonal overtime required for close and peak season
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
- College Degree from accredited college is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years related experience
- Accurately keystroke a minimum of 50 wpm.
- Proficient in 2013–2016 Excel and other MS Office Suite products, Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
- 10-key by touch.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in high volume environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting
- Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 50lbs
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
- Occasional loud noise
- Occasional varying environmental temperature changes
