What are the responsibilities and job description for the Royalties Analyst position at RECUR?
RECUR is seeking a Royalties Analyst to join our Controllership team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team, where you will work with some of the largest brands in the world on innovative, creative projects in the nascent and growing NFT space.
What you will do at RECUR:
- The small stuff: Process and track royalties to our channels (Sports/Characters/Studios) with a high attention to detail
- The medium stuff: Co-develop royalty tracking systems, working cross-functionally with project management and finance
- The big stuff: Liaise with external reporting parties to coordinate their royalties payments and reporting. Assist with the financial statement close process, including but not limited to preparation of month-end accruals, reconciliations, and royalty analytics
What you bring to RECUR:
- 3 years of accounting experience, 1-2 years of progressively responsible royalties experience
- Bachelor’s in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or related discipline
- Public accounting and/or CPA preferred
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- A team player who is able to work collaboratively within the group as well as across business functions
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels at the company
- Netsuite, or a similar ERP
Who you are:
- Champion; Proven ability to own and operate royalties accounting using industry-specific systems
- Process-oriented; You build processes that anticipate mistakes and produce detailed process documentation, ability to read/write SQL queries is a big plus
- EXCEPTIONAL communication skills; you can succinctly relay what happened and why to a lay audience
