Description
A day in the life:
As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations, with a specific focus on financial reporting, tax compliance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will collaborate closely with project managers, auditors, and other stakeholders to maintain financial stability and support company growth.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Cash Management - bank reconciliation, ACH vendor payments, payment application
- Accounts Receivable - invoicing, A/R Aging reports,
- Accounts Payable - vendor invoices, processing corporate credit transactions, notes payable
- Payroll
- Assisting with audits (DCAA)
- Assisting with financial close (monthly and year-end)
- Maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal control systems
- Providing guidance with regulatory reporting with possible tax planning and compliance
- Assisting with AOP and rate builds
- SBA reporting
- Pricing - profit analysis
- Unanet SME
- 401k administration
Requirements
What you bring to the table:
- 10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
- Bachelors of Business Administration with a focus in Accounting or a relevant field from an accredited institution
- 10 years of relevant experience within government contracting and the DoD environment including working with multiple contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Time & Materials (T&M) and Cost Plus Award Fee or Fixed Fee (CPAF, CPFF)
- A strong proficiency with all of the following: Unanet, Deltek (Cost Point, B&P, Time & Expense, Cobra, GCS Premier), Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, IBM COGNOS, Quickbooks, Egnyte
- A Secret level of clearance or higher
