What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Manager position at Red Antler?

We're searching for an IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day internal tech needs at Red Antler. You'll help us define process and policies for the entire agency and diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems, set up and configure new equipment, plan technology infrastructure and run our internal file server systems. This is a highly dynamic role and for someone who is excited about a quickly scaling organization and the challenge of reimagining our company tech needs remotely and in the office.
Who you are:
- You know what it takes to provide technical support to a growing agency. You'll provide desktop support for Mac OS to local and remote employees and assist with troubleshooting any software, hardware, or network issues.
- You're an integral part of our office operations team and will work with Finance to manage our IT budget and help plan for future equipment needs and the procurement of computers and other hardware as needed.
- You're excited to lead infrastructure changes such as the deployment of new wireless access points and ethernet port termination and are comfortable providing recommendations for equipment such as network switches, computers, server upgrades, communication (audio/video) and more.
- You'll maintain our office technology systems such as security systems, printers, conference room systems, and file servers. You also understand network topology including firewalls, switches, VPN, and wireless AP management.
Nuts and bolts:
- You have 4-6 years of IT experience in a creative agency environment.
- You'll have advanced knowledge of networking including configuring Cisco network switches, managing and running Windows-based File and ActiveDirectory servers, and configuring and maintaining Rukus based wireless access points and controllers.
- You have experience with Adobe Suite, Office 365, G-Suite, Slack, and Zoom administration and troubleshooting.
- You're proficient with Windows Server 2012 administration, Microsoft Active Directory, and managing NAS devices.
- You're organized, sharp with time management, and can successfully manage multiple priorities at once. You enjoy paying attention to the details and can find a solution to any technical problem.
- Your communication skills are excellent and you are able to work effectively with technical and non-technical people alike.
