The main purpose of the IT & Technical Support Lead, APC LA is to ensure the ongoing functioning of all specialty technical equipment installed at the APC, maintain its connectivity, support any change requests from the athlete-facing staff relating to the equipment, troubleshoot, and organize support accordingly in order to ensure timely resolution of all incidents.

Key Responsibilities
- Support APC staff to install/implement new equipment, or upgrade existing equipment as per plan
- Serve as the first point of contact for APC staff in case of failure for all specialty APC equipment, performs necessary troubleshooting
- Organize a timely resolution, sometimes working with multiple parties while communicating regularly with impacted APC staff with regards to resolution, next steps and timing
- Maintains good working relationships with all equipment vendors, ensuring regular maintenance and initiated repair schedules are performed on schedule
- Develops and maintains emergency plans to address equipment, power, or security failure to ensure preservation of data
- Identify and suggest possible improvements or weak spots that can improve overall quality of measurement or reduce equipment failure incidence
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a technical support technician/engineer other 1st level technical support role
- Very tech savvy and hands-on, engineering/technical type experience with several years of experience in specialty IT equipment installations and maintenance
- Knowledge of and experience with software and hardware technologies used in sports environments is not a must, but a big plus
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Well balanced when working towards solutions: Detail oriented, able to prioritize very well, keeping in mind the big picture (severity/impact of incidents), but at the same time able to pay attention to details in order to get results quickly
- Highly organized; takes pride in being able to meet agreed timelines deadlines
- Experience and skilled in some of the following languages/development environments are not a must but a big plus: SQL, HTML, R, Matlab, Python, C
- BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
- Fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage
- Travel up to 25%
