Company Description
The National Account Manager – Retailtainment, is responsible for developing and leading Red Bull’s experiential retail activations and ecommerce strategy at one of our top National Account retailers. Through partnerships with the account’s shopper, retail marketing, and ecommerce departments, the NAM’s mission is to position Red Bull with strategies that drive retailer, shopper, and consumer engagement both in store and online. Based on channel dynamics and the changing consumer landscape, you’ll develop on-brand retail initiatives (generic, custom-retailer, or Red Bull voiced) to address channel and chain opportunities that meet customer needs, gain incremental sales, space, and visibility for Red Bull products, and drive consumer & retailer engagement.
We ask that you have project, strategic leadership to bring brand and sales-driven assets, concepts, and priorities to life in-market. This will require cross functional collaboration through multiple teams (sales, distribution, marketing, finance, operations, legal) at Headquarters (HQ), Business Unit (BU), and Retailer levels to ensure that goals of the customer is communicated and achieved.
Additional responsibilities to include: managing budgets and results at both the national & regional levels; develop productive business relationships with senior management in all assigned regions/markets and at the customer’s HQ offices; and drive best practices through producing excellent results and creating innovative solutions.
Job Description
Strategic Business Planning & Execution
Responsible for development of a Joint Business Plan Proposal (Retailtainment/Ecommmerce) and full understanding of assigned retailer and internal Red Bull teams to drive execution of plan.
Lead Red Bull’s partnership with the account to activate multiple forms of Retailtainment in-store, through.Com activations and product sampling
Align strategy and tactics with Red Bull Headquarters, Retail Marketing, and e-commerce teams to coordinate national programs and projects.
Manage Promotional Calendar creation and communication internally and externally.
Manage large-scale National brand-led programs from creation through activation to gain distribution outside traditional in-store beverage locations.
Create and manage relevant programs/campaigns with each buyer for assigned account’s .com platforms, including their Retailtainment Team, Gaming Merchant, .com Marketing & Digital Team, and .com Merchant.
Assign and maintain project content and timelines for all initiatives.
Own project ideation and creation continually develop all future activations and initiatives.
Retail Marketing Projects
Execute short and long-term strategies and activities consistent with RBNA objectives and standards.
Ownership and management of multiple Red Bull assets and major yearly retail marketing projects
Responsible for activation recaps and management with RBNA personnel and account
Dealer Loader sourcing and management: work directly with the Retail Marketing team on identified Dealer Loader needs to support the Field Sales Team
Identify large sampling occasions that Red Bull can support and work with the account’s marketing teams and RBNA Consumer Collecting team to build and coordinate activations.
Retailtainment
Management of 3rd Party Retailtainment partners to facilitate and manage all activations at retail.
Own relationships and partnerships with RBNA departments - including Retail Marketing, POS Team, Consumer Collecting, Consumer Products, Gaming Team, and Senior Directors of Distribution - to manage all activations at assigned accounts.
Budget Management
Guide the business planning and budget process, allocate resources where investment has the highest ROI, align pricing and promotions with in-store promotions.
Manage Trade Budgets & Accruals and Trade Spend/Volume within CPM
Manage the coordination of PO's for retailer’s .com platforms
Manage all related invoice processing.
Management of Business Unit and Distributor Partner Relationships
Communicate and work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
Leverage Business Insights and analyst teams to provide the distributor network and field with selling tools.
Monitor market trends and feeds relevant consumer and competitive information to the HQ Insights Department.
Drive alignment internally within Business Units through annual roadshow presentations, in-market store visits, and Distributor Partner visits.
Qualifications
8 years of Sales and Key Account experience with a strong track record of success
Experience in managing national or regional chain business in grocery, convenience, or e-commerce channels
Retail marketing or trade marketing experience within a CPG environment
Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills – ability to organize, prioritize and deliver on time
Strong analytical skills and experience using internal and external data sources (i.e., Nielsen, IRI, CPM, Sales Data)
Advanced strategic thinking, planning, financial management, decision-making, sales presentation, & negotiation skills
Innovative, solution-oriented mindset and ability to drive collaboration across diverse functional groups to achieve goals
Strategic and experienced in project management, demonstrating a clear track record of success
In-depth knowledge of FMCG and DSD industry
Must be extremely proficient in software packages (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) & internal systems (CPM, SAP/BI)
