The IT Administrator is responsible for providing internal IT support for Red Clay. Assignments are usually time sensitive and business critical, therefore a strong work ethic, sense of urgency and commitment to quality work is required.
Job Summary
As an IT Administrator, you will:
- Work closely with team members with complex issues (usually time sensitive and business critical) in a positive manner
- Proactively identify opportunities to save costs and more effectively manage server infrastructure and end-user computing
- Problem and root cause management in the areas of system performance, security and connectivity
- Participate in process improvement initiatives – i.e., define Device Management Solution, establish new standards and document standards, etc.
- Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure that supports application resilience
- Provide on-call support services with flexible hours and schedule
- Tune hardware and software configurations for local environments
- Adhere to deployment procedures and standards; create/maintain/update articles in knowledgebase
- Troubleshoot any network and connectivity issues that may arise and provide solutions
- Identify system and/or application issues and the ability to work with users if needed to resolve issues
- Provide desktop and related software support to RCC employees, including laptop builds
- Provide software support for external clients – i.e., SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Design, implement, administer and support RCC’s internal server systems – network, server, storage, telephony
- Setup audio/visual as required for meetings using Zoom
- Responsible for setting/maintaining up audio/video/telephony in all conference rooms – all setup should be professional looking by using cable ties, etc.

Education
Undergraduate degree in Network Systems Administration, Information Systems Technology, Engineering, or related technology field.
Required Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in the following subjects:
- Hypervisor: VMware 5.x and above
- Networking: TCP/IP, SonicWALL – firewalls and VPN, Wi-Fi management, switch configuration including VLANs and Trunking, Dell multi-switch technologies
- Server Operating Systems: Windows Server 2012 and above, Red Hat Linux 5.x and above
- Client Operating Systems: Windows 10, MacOS
- Applications: Office 365 – Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio/Project, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, Vonage, Digium, Veeam, Active Directory, DNS/WINS
- Scripting: Shell scripting, PowerShell
- SharePoint Intranet / Internet
- JIRA Software / Confluence – administration and support
- Tortoise SVN or GitHub

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5
- Some night and weekend work may be required. Must be able to provide on-call support when needed and rotational weekend support.
