As a Financial Analyst with Red Rover, you will be responsible for analyzing the past and present financial data to accurately estimate future revenues and expenditures. Support Finance operations by modeling, auditing, forecasting, planning, budgeting, cost and project control to improve overall operational efficiency and aid in the growth of the company. This role is ideal for an individual who likes working in a dynamic finance environment, has strong attention to detail and exceptional Excel skills. This is a Full-Time position at our corporate headquarters in Tampa.
This position, utilizing exemplary professionalism, friendliness and problem-solving skills, will:
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and dashboards to aid in analysis to provide clear interpretation of trends and data.
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for strategic decision-making.
- Report on financial performance and prepare standardized reports for leadership review.
- Perform variance analysis on past results to identify trends and initiate improvements.
- Evaluate performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards.
- Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence and valuation comps.
- Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, depreciation proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc.
- Evidence based ability to persuade senior stakeholders.
- Run and document financial analysis projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required.
- 3 years prior business finance, analysis or other relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of modeling, budgeting and principles of finance.
- Proven work experience in a highly quantitative role.
Math and Language Skills
- Strong numerical proficiency, math skills, ability to calculate percentages.
- Strong experience with spreadsheets.
- Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with clients, customers and co-workers.
- Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
PC Skills
- Computer literate, ability to type accurately.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including macros.
- Strong knowledge of other Microsoft applications.
- Ability to quickly learn Red Rovers software and applications.
- ERP knowledge - Acumatica and Velixo preferred.
