DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates the activities of all receiving team members on property.
• Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and food and beverage specifications.
• Assists Receiving Supervisor in selection, supervising, evaluating and training of the Receiving team.
• Makes recommendations regarding hire, transfer, suspension, assignments, evaluations, and discharge.
• Ensures the integrity of all supplies delivered to the receiving dock.
• Assists receiving and Warehouse Supervisor with the creation and implementation of a computerized itemization of all goods and supplies received and stored on property.
• Cooperates with accounts payable team members in the verification of orders received.
• Compiles statistical data for reporting purposes.
• Maintains all files in the Receiving Division of the Finance Department.
• Directs Receiving Clerks to prepare boxes for shipment, and maintains records of all shipments sent out, prepares shipments as needed.
• Directly supervises all Receiving team members on assigned shift in the absence of the Receiving Supervisor.
• Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve receiving disputes.
• Attaches the invoice to purchase order and indicates the quantity received, number of boxes, date received, invoice number, and any other pertinent information.
• Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and must occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds or more.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
