Director of Asset Management - Senior Living

We are currently assisting a leading provider of Senior Living communities in the search for a Director of Asset Management. This is a strategic and finance-oriented role, with a focus on not only getting the most out of assets currently under management but also in identifying and securing future assets to enable further growth.
The organisation are well established, with over $2billion of current Assets under management and annual revenues over $500m. They operate over 50 Communities across mostly East Coast states, spanning Senior Living (Independent and Assisted), Memory Care and Skilled Nursing. The role will report into a Vice President of Asset Development who in turn reports into the CFO and CEO. You will have autonomy in your role as well as a performance-based bonus and some flexibility working between office, home and on-site.
Responsibilities
· Building and maintaining the group-wide property management structure and oversees support functions which sustain community building and development.
· Oversight of community maintenance functions including the organisations CAPEX planning and spend, including liaising with capital partners and regularly reviewing projects in process.
· Provide and monitor Owner Supplied Vendors and Budgets
· Responsibility for guiding and consistently improving the organisations ESG commitments.
· Leading the companies disaster planning and the coordination of disaster preparation and remediation.
· Working closely with the Regional Operations and Maintenance teams to prepare, prioritize and submit an annual budget for each community as well as summary analytics to present to capital partners.
· Management of Capital Construction projects as well as site visits when necessary.
· Development and execution of plans to ensure ultimate return on capital and extending asset life where possible.
· Delivering effective Cost Containment initiatives through effect vendor contract management
Requirements
· Minimum of 10 years’ of Financial and CAPEX management
· Strong Financial background
· Experience in due-diligence, analyzing and extrapolating data to deliver comprehensive financial reports
· Frequent travel
