What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Engineer position at REDLIST?
The ideal Field Sales Engineer is a hardworking, reliable, persistent, proactive, and innovative individual who will be responsible for the success of selling Redlist Software to customers in a target geographic area, as well as nation-wide implementation of our software with sold customer accounts. Responsibilities of the position:
- Understanding customer needs and suffering points to generate value added sales proposals to achieve customer's adoption of the appropriate Redlist systems and support services
- Progressing potential customers within the Redlist sales pipeline through daily in-person sales calls
- Safe and responsible driving to and participating in various activities at customer sites
- Documentation of sales pipeline and engineering activity within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and project management systems
- Safe and dependable On-site Implementation while enabling appropriate technical services and customer support
- For select customers, develop, execute and document customer accepted value from customer specific engineering objectives
- Provide input to product development of future Redlist system enhancements based on customer needs
- Establish meaningful relationships including providing commercial and technical training with Redlist business partners
- Work within a given travel and expense budget
General Expectations:
- Strengthening and building the Sales and Implementation teams. You have a number of full time and part-time, domestic and international resources available to work with you-- it will be up to you to optimize your resources, and as necessary, present well thought out business cases / ROI justification when you need to leverage the company resources. You will also become a powerful input to others on the team as well as improving the Redlist offer.
- Expect to be on the road every day and traveling away from home at least 10 nights a month.
- Complete and record sales and engineering activities through the CRM and project management software.
- Measuring your success and Hitting your Quotas. You will own a number of key metrics, including pipeline creation and progression, new business proposals created/accepted, pipeline accounts won, successful implementation plan support, etc.--you need to achieve these numbers, determine and communicate why misses happen and ensure improvement plans adoption.
- How Success is Measured.
- As part of your sales role you will be responsible for several key performance metrics that can be found in your CRM including but not limited to; daily activities, including calls, emails and tasks, in-person meetings, demos completed, deals created, pipeline generated, pipeline stage metrics, deals won (existing and new brands), etc.
- As part of your implementation role, you will be measured by your quality and frequency of on-time completion of work at customer sites as planned and recorded in our project management software.

- Figuring it out. You can't wait to be told what to do. You will have access to capable managers, talented co-workers and additional advisors and mentors from the B2B SaaS sales and lubrication engineering world, however you will be expected to take ownership to solve whatever problems you encounter. Figuring out how to achieve your goals and communicate those properly using our management communication software.
- Evolving & Growing. This is a new position for our company. You will participate in on-going training to continually improve your safety, technical, commercial, and communication performance. You should expect that your tasks and responsibilities for identified best practices may change from month to month. Redlist will sponsor your education to achieve safety and technical certifications (for example ICML).
- Instilling Confidence and relationships with prospects, partners and customers. Be proactive in helping the company to achieve your department goals.
- Provide Safe and Reliable onsite Implementation Support throughout the country
- Use and development of job safety protocols at customer sites
- Become proficient in using the Redlist App
- Help customers to populate their applicable information inside our application
- Team Collaboration: Cooperate with other team members to improve lead quality, and to ensure all leads are processed correctly. Provide input to Redlist system enhancements and other offer elements
- Other responsibilities as directed.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- 2 Years of Heavy Industrial Engineering/Maintenance or Technician Experience
- Engineering Degree desired (prefer mechanical, industrial, or mining engineering degrees)
- Written and oral persuasive communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn and demonstrate the Software application to solve specific problems.
- MSHA/OSHA or industry equivalent Certifications experience desired
- Ability to travel and maintain positive energy on many consecutive long days
- Ability to work in industrial environments (work at heights, in noisy/dirty environments, climb ladders with proper procedures and personal protective equipment.
Compensation
Base (60-80K Base DOE) plus retention performance commissions for selling and winning accounts and completing successful customer implementations, for OTE of ~100-125K with lots of room to grow as the individual and the company hits key milestones.
Salary : $60,000 - $125,000
