Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We're doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Consumer Affairs Program Manager

The Consumer Program Manager the role will turn schools, non-profits, and the public into advocates for recycling and building local circular supply chains. You will build and accelerate programs and events that spread awareness and create pathways for consumer products to be recycled into new sustainable batteries. In this role, you'll create and cultivate relationships and help customers grow the Redwood mission. As a Public Affairs Manager, you will be a strategic leader in developing and executing Redwood's reputation efforts in the community.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop strategies and lead cross-functional efforts that bring to life how Redwood contributes to building a sustainable supply chain.
  • Lead efforts to inform and advance key opportunities and spot issues in local communities.
  • Manage Redwood's presence and community programming with consumers, educators, advocates, and key opinion-formers, and create toolkits, collateral, and other products that help scale Redwood's core reputation narratives.
  • Promote positions and manage local messaging regarding energy, sustainability, and the domestic supply chain.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities, create pathways and communicate to key constituencies.

Desired Qualifications

  • 5 year(s) in public affairs, communications, events planning, campaigns, or nonprofits.
  • Experience working across fast-paced organizations to develop and execute new ideas, campaigns, and strategies.
  • Experience compiling and analyzing data to develop strategic insights and plans.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • An understanding of and excitement for sustainability and the EV industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, relationship, and analytical skills.
  • A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
