Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly. This leader will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment for our pilot and full-scale production lines. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit on shift.
Responsibilities will include:
Provide shift-to-shift communication to keep all team members working toward the same goals
Drive improvements for procedures and standardization across all shifts between maintenance, production, and engineering
Ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity
Manage an expense budget for repairs, maintenance, overtime, and inventory for building mechanical, electrical, chemical processing equipment, and automation equipment
Develop a team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations personnel, Health and Leadership teams
Ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations
Create and maintain ongoing preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimum equipment performance
Provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance services for Redwood's production facilities
Support for Redwood's Hydro and Pyro metallurgy processes
Perform electro and mechanical system and PLC/Controls maintenance and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in a similar leadership role
Proficient working with spreadsheets, word processing, and computer-based applications (e.g. time tracking, case management, etc.)
Comfortable making decisions independently and handling emergency situations with a calm and directed manner
Trades experience in electrical preferred
Understanding of the NEC codes and knowledge of NFPA 70E practices
Familiar with troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems
Electrical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic troubleshooting using prints
PLC: troubleshooting with, or programming
Proficient with writing reports, business correspondence, and standard work procedures
A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
