Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly. This leader will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment for our pilot and full-scale production lines. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit on shift.

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide shift-to-shift communication to keep all team members working toward the same goals
• Drive improvements for procedures and standardization across all shifts between maintenance, production, and engineering
• Ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity
• Manage an expense budget for repairs, maintenance, overtime, and inventory for building mechanical, electrical, chemical processing equipment, and automation equipment
• Develop a team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
• Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations personnel, Health and Leadership teams
• Ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations
• Create and maintain ongoing preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimum equipment performance
• Provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance services for Redwood's production facilities
• Support for Redwood's Hydro and Pyro metallurgy processes
• Perform electro and mechanical system and PLC/Controls maintenance and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar leadership role
• Proficient working with spreadsheets, word processing, and computer-based applications (e.g. time tracking, case management, etc.)
• Comfortable making decisions independently and handling emergency situations with a calm and directed manner
• Trades experience in electrical preferred
• Understanding of the NEC codes and knowledge of NFPA 70E practices
• Familiar with troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems
• Electrical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic troubleshooting using prints
• PLC: troubleshooting with, or programming
• Proficient with writing reports, business correspondence, and standard work procedures
