ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment (ex. tractors, trailers, straight trucks)
- Maintain the cleanliness of shop area for a safe working environment
- Order parts for trucks and supplies as need
- Review all DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) daily for problems with trucks
- Perform DOT inspections on all equipment, State and Federal
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Must be on call for truck breakdown emergencies after hours
- Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions
- Communicate all problems or concerns of equipment with Manager/Supervisor
- Communicate with drivers for feedback on repairs or for repairs
- Keep an accurate record of all service performed and due on equipment
- Maintain a proper image as a representative of Reeb Millwork
- Must perform all duties per Reeb Standards
- Must have or be able to obtain a CDL class A license, for test driving equipment for diagnosis and repair quality
Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience : Two to four years Heavy Diesel Mechanics
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer Skills
Computer skills helpful, Heavy Diesel Mechanical ability required, Welding experience required
Certificates & Licenses
Commercial Drivers License and DOT Certification Card, Valid driver’s license required. Safe driver history/record required for insurance and liability reasons.
