About the role: Account Manager is a sales role responsible for managing the renewal base for our Clinical Solutions business across Australia and New Zealand in line with business targets. This role is responsible for developing a professional network at current and potential key accounts, while managing a strategic and direct sales process in an independent and highly professional way. Reporting into Head of eSales for Australia, this is a fixed-term position working 3-4 days per week until end of 2023, requiring occasional domestic and international travel. The ideal candidate would preferably be based in Sydney, but we are open to candidates in Melbourne and Brisbane. Key responsibilities include: Renewal sales growth of Elsevier’s digital Clinical Solutions. Securing subscription renewal business at all assigned accounts Qualifying cross and up-selling opportunities to existing accounts Relationship building, networking and interacting with a diverse range of customers and internal/external stakeholders Providing in-depth usage analytics to customers as required Managing a strategic and direct sales process in an independent and highly professional way Strategic account and territory planning utilising sales methodology tools, such as Franklin Covey and Miller Heiman Providing continuous market feedback to internal teams to support delivery and development of key business initiatives and objectives About the ideal candidate: Proven track record in achieving sales targets Proven success in prospecting, value-selling, negotiating and closing Excellent organisational and planning skills Strong business acumen and analytical skills Proven experience in consultative/value/solution-selling in complex sales processes Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills Knowledge of the health and/or academic markets University Degree preferably in Science, Healthcare and/or Technology A self-starter with lots of energy, enthusiasm and a “can-do” attitude High-level of customer focus and integrity Able to build rapport and credibility quickly, at all levels, with a diverse range of customers and colleagues Experienced in working in an international matrix organisation advantageous Strong competency in Microsoft Office applications Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM systems Fluency (verbal and written) in English What’s in it for you?
