Rees Associates seeking an Accountant to join our team. The Accountant applies the principles of accounting to review, prepare, reconcile and analyze accounting records and documentation and financial reports
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Performs accounting activities involving financial transactions, including processing accounts payable, accounts receivable transactions, payroll processing, or treasury functions.
- Maintains accurate financial files for a variety of records, including accounts payable, deposits, leases and revenue files.
- Receive and audit requests for payment; ; ensure account coding on request for payments are coded correctly.
- Receive and monitor cashier transactions. Process daily cash counts; input data into the computer; ensure revenue accounts and other activity is coded correctly.
- Process and calculate a variety of payroll actions including benefits withholding, overtime hours.
- Review and reconcile bank statements; maintain records on various accounting transactions.
Knowledge of
- Accounting principles and practices.
- Principles and procedures of financial record keeping and reporting.
- Principles of basic spreadsheet preparation and report preparation.
- Pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and ordinances.
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting role
QUALIFICATIONS:
Being a team player, goal-setter, and highly detailed and focused, with strong organizational skills
- Ability to perform multiple projects and priorities together and achieve excellent results
- Ability to perform complex tasks with little or no supervision; comfortable working in a fast-paced setting where meeting of time-sensitive deadlines is usually required
- Maintain confidentiality regarding financial statements, reports, and other accounting information
- Excellent human relationship and communication skills to relate cordially and effectively

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
