Our flourishing cosmetic surgical and medical practice is seeking a full time RN or LPN with excellent interpersonal skill and a friendly, positive demeanor. We wish to hire a motivated and outgoing person to provide a welcoming, fantastic atmosphere for our patients!

Job Purpose

The RN/LPN is responsible for patient intake, charting for providers, and managing patient care, and other clinic and administrative tasks as needed. Other responsibilities include clerical and clinical duties. Examples are charting patient information, preparing for and cleaning up after office procedures. Sterile instrument processing (cleaning, autoclave, inventory).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Clearly and effectively communicate with the physician, patients, and other staff members to provide patients with exceptional medical care
  • Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
  • Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
  • Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
  • Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
  • Assist surgeon during operations
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
  • Maintain voicemail, email, and other office communication tools to ensure timely follow up and follow through
  • Prepare/Schedule patients for medical tests, examinations, and follow ups
  • Develop an understanding of Refine medical procedures to explain to patients and other staff as necessary
  • Sterilize Medical Instruments
  • Provide phone triage
  • Maintain spreadsheets for patients surgical needs and communicate with hospitals/surgery centers
  • Charting in Electronic Medical Records (EMA)
  • Other clerical and clinical duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • Certificate/License of Educational Training or
  • ASN Degree or
  • BSN Degree

Experience:

  • 4 years in a medical office, cosmetic experience strongly preferred, and
  • profficient in charting strongly preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Basic nursing principles and protocols.
  • Policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety and patient confidentiality.

Skills:

  • Appropriate assessment and assistance techniques.
  • Appropriate use of universal precautions, safe workplace and confidentiality methods.
  • Health information management by appropriately charting patient data.
  • High level of customer service ability with cosmetic practice background strongly preferred

Abilities:

  • Work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
  • React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Appropriately interact with patients, families, staff and others.
  • Flexibly respond to changing demands.
  • Plan, organize, prioritize and direct the work of others.
  • Communicate clearly.

Working Conditions

Combination of office, exam, and other clinical settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic setting.

Physical/ Mental Requirements

Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment. Occasionally lifting and carrying files up to 50 pounds. May require working under stressful conditions.

Pay: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
