What are the responsibilities and job description for the Care Partner position at Reflections at Garden Place - Columbia, IL?
CARE PARTNERS, join us on our mission to create a senior living revolution where compassion meets innovation! We are seeking a kind, warm, friendly care giver to join our team as needed. This position will be an "ON-CALL" position, as needed to cover shifts 6:00 pm- 6:00 am OR 7:00 pm- 7:00 AM during the week or possibly weekend nights. Average use of this person is approximetly 2-3 times a month. Possibility to cross train and cover day shift openings, if interested. All staff much be able to attend a monthly staff meeting, also. Must have a desire to work with residents who are experiencing Alzheimer's or Dementia symptoms. Previous experience working with these diseases is a plus.

What You’ll do
As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:
- You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
- You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder’s health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
- You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
- You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
- You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
- You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
- You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
What You’ll Bring
- You will bring a willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
- You will bring good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
- You will bring licensing documentation (if required by your state) and be able to pass a criminal background check.
- You will bring the ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.
