Billing Specialist

The Accounting team works within the Finance team to deliver financial transparency and support the strategic decision making process. In an effort to deliver this, the Accounting team processes all financial transactions to produce timely and accurate Financial Statements while ensuring that the company is compliant with all applicable regulations including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Domestic and International Tax agencies, and other relevant ad hoc statutory directives. Additionally, the Accounting team supports the internal team at Reforge to ensure that cross functional processes are clear and efficient and financial results are timely and transparent to the appropriate audiences.

The Billing Specialist role will support the company by executing billing tasks in accordance with policies and procedures to align with ASC 606 compliance. Additionally, this role will support the Order to Cash cycle by assisting in Accounts Receivable reporting and collections. In addition this role will provide support to Accounts Payable by processing invoices and expense reports. This role will perform current manual processes as well as participate in all future billing system upgrades and implementations.

You'll be joining as part of the foundational team of a profitable proven startup. We bootstrapped to high seven-figure revenue, led by experienced entrepreneurs, and recently we raised a $60M round from Insight Partners. WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Ensure that billing is performed to meet Revenue Recognition and other Accounting Policies
• Perform Order to Cash reconciliations
• Address and handle non-standard, complex billing requests
• Apply wire/ACH payments received outside of billing system
• Provide customer support by responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Complete 3rd party vendor onboarding process
• Collaborate with Operations team to complete AR collections tasks
• Process low volume AP invoices
• Process employee expense reports
• Support ongoing process improvement initiatives including system implementation and upgrades

Year 1 Expected Deliverables

• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency of full O2C process
• Assist in establishing billing and collections processes
• Perform billing functions as outlined above
• Assist in system implementations and upgrades

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 2 years working in billing, collections, accounts receivable
• Experience with high volume data processing
• Experience performing billing and accounts receivable tasks in a manual, non-automated environment

Nice-to-Have’s

• Experience working with SAAS or Subscription billing products
• Experience working in a high growth/startup environment
• Exposure to ASC 606 compliance projects
• Experience testing Order to Cash reconciliations during financial audits
• Experience processing AP invoices and expense reports
