What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Systems Analyst position at RefrigiWear, Inc.?
RefrigiWear is looking for a Network Systems Analyst to tend to all IT-related issues with care. The Network Systems Analyst will monitor and mend issues with our network and oversee the regular updating of all pertinent installations with a security-first mindset. You should also remain informed about new product releases that may be of use to our company. This role will help research, design, plan, and make recommendations on network and systems infrastructure.
You'll ensure the proper function of our LAN (local area networks), WAN (wide area networks), Internet and intranet connections. You will test hardware and software, design network configurations and architecture, back up network servers and monitor system performance. Additionally, you'll track equipment needs to determine when equipment, such as modems, telephone wires and fiber optic cables, require upgrades. You will also set up user accounts and train end users on hardware and software usage in a cloud-first (Office365, Azure) environment.
Role is on-site in Dahlonega, GA. Flexible schedule available. This is a small team that needs technically strong and motivated resources that are willing to work anything from small end-user issues (my email doesn't "work") to technical systems issues (scripting and automation, VPN tunnel configuration, Exchange Online, Powershell, etc). Casual, fun, and laid-back work environment. Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and technical aptitude are a must.

Network Systems Analyst Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and administration of service desk system
- Planning, Designing, and implementing systems and network technologies
- On premise and cloud systems administration (Azure, Microsoft365, Active Directory, etc)
- Walking employees through your interventions to promote computer literacy and self-sufficiency.
- Installing mandatory updates before existing applications become outdated or obsolete.
- Security focused mindset - daily monitoring of systems and infrastructure for security events. Constantly helping to improve the company's security posture
- Adding to company systems documentation and knowledge base
- Monitoring systems and network proactively to prevent problems before they happen
- Assisting in the planning and testing of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity policies and procedures
- Proactive monitoring and remediation of security related events
- Automation and efficiency discovery and planning
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in information systems or adjacent discipline.
- Strong preference for enterprise experience in Azure, Active Directory, Powershell, Microsoft 365, Mobile Device Management, and related technologies and systems.
- Functional competency with SQL a big plus.
- Experience with disaster recovery/business continuity practices a plus
- Working knowledge of information security and systems lifecycle/service frameworks.
- Additional, relevant certification is highly advantageous. (Azure, Microsoft, Security Plus, ITIL, Project Management, etc)
- Demonstrable experience as a network systems analyst.
- Systematic, precise, and emotionally intelligent.
- Ability to train staff in basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Eager about IT plus its business and societal applications.
