What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Regional Kidney Care PC?
Busy practice looking for an energetic, dependable person with excellent communication skills to fill a medical assistant position.
- Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain medical information and any other necessary data
- Schedule appointments for hospital follow ups and recurring patients based on Physician and NP availability
- Familiar with EPIC a plus
- Check patients in for physicians or nurse practitioners and help maintain continuity of care with return phone calls and setting appointments and follow up of message from physicians and patients.
- Knowledge of medications a plus.
- Review and attach incoming medical records for patients.
- Answer phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or facilitate patients with support and guidance as needed
- Insurance Knowledge a plus High School Diploma required; Medical Experience Required at least 2 years; Familiar with EPIC a plus; Ability to handle fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance; Excellent communication and problem solving skills; Familiar with Microsoft Office

Pay: $31,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
