What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Navigator, Oncology position at Regions Hospital?
Regions is seeking an experienced Oncology RN to join our team in a full time Nurse Navigator role. In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, provides professional nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation in accordance with Oncology Nursing Society, NCCN and ASCO guidelines. Coordinates and manages multidisciplinary care for new lung cancer/suspected lung cancer patients and new brain tumor patients. Demonstrates a caring, competent manner to instill patient confidence and contribute to an environment that is centered on the needs of patients and families.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00pm
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
- Two years hospital nursing, at least one year in oncology care.
- Current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification or willing to obtain within 1 to 2 years of hire OR successful completion of 36 cancer-related continuing education nursing contact hours each Commission on Cancer accreditation cycle (tracked by dept).
- Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
- Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Wisconsin.
